The EF End Cap is a specialised fitting dedicated to the permanent or temporary sealing of the termination point of a Polyethylene pipeline. Whether used for the final closure of a pipeline project, the long-term protection of a capped port, or for sectional pressure testing, the End Cap provides an end seal with the same high security and gas-tightness as the pipe body itself. The cap integrates electrofusion heating wires, which, through the welding process, firmly fuse the fitting to the pipe end, creating a unitary structure. This technology ensures that the pressure rating and corrosion resistance of the sealed area are consistent with the entire pipeline system. Compared to mechanical plugging or other temporary methods, the End Cap provides the highest level of safety and durability, making it especially suitable for demanding high-pressure systems. It is broadly applied in the final closure of new pipeline projects, the preservation of future expansion lines, and for providing an absolutely reliable seal during hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure testing.
